Seasons of Life
Pass as they may
All painting colors
That aren't here to stay
The yellows and blues
Blend into greens
The canvas quickly fading
Leaves little of its cream
But amatures staring
At this painting of a life
Peer much too closely
With their untrained eyes
Only the painter
Can step back and see
The beauty of his work
The exact symmetry
Lord, train us to see like you
To trust your loving plan
To know with perfect peace and calm
That each life lies within the Painter's hand
